Frequently asked questions

Your frequent questions

  • It is best to take our zinc formula in several courses throughout the year, based on your needs (immune system put to the test, fertility boost...), with breaks between each course.

  • Gluconate is a good, well-absorbed form of zinc, but studies suggest that zinc bisglycinate may offer even better absorption [16]. Our liposomal zinc, meanwhile, offers slightly higher absorption because it uses a less competitive absorption pathway.

  • We chose to combine two patented sources of zinc: liposomal and bisglycinate. Our carriers use different absorption pathways (notably paracellular transport and endocytosis), helping to ease congestion of the ionic pathway, the main absorption route for dietary minerals. The capsule form is better suited to zinc than tablets.

  • Zinc is a key trace element for immune function, and a deficiency can weaken our natural defenses. This mineral acts as a modulator of cytokine production (cell-signaling messengers), proteins that increase inflammation. It would also appear that people with good zinc levels have higher T lymphocyte counts than deficient populations.

  • This is not necessary, because the daily intakes of the two formulas (2 capsules per day for the Clear Skin Complex and 1 capsule for the Zinc) each provide 100% of the NRV for zinc. Our Clear Skin Complex is more than sufficient and perfectly suited to limit skin imperfections with its zinc combination.

  • We recommend taking our Zinc during a meal, preferably at breakfast.

  • Zinc is mainly known for its effects on reproduction in men, being involved in testosterone synthesis and in the healthy development of the testes, epididymis, and prostate, as well as in the development, maturation, and motility of sperm. However, since it participates in cell division, it can also be involved in the reproductive process in women.

  • Yes, because our Multi already contains 100% of the NRV for zinc and there is a risk of excess. Taking both formulas at the same time would result in an excess of zinc, which is not recommended in the medium and long term.

  • Zinc is involved in the testosterone synthesis pathways, which gives it a crucial role in maintaining testosterone levels. A study of men over 60 with zinc deficiency, following 6 months of supplementation, showed a doubling of blood testosterone levels [15].

  • Yes, taking zinc can be useful for bodybuilding as well as other sports activities. Indeed, zinc is involved in many nutrient metabolism pathways (carbohydrates and fatty acids), and it participates in protein synthesis and in the synthesis of testosterone (an anabolic hormone).

  • No, zinc is not intended to improve sleep onset or promote good sleep.

  • Unlike vitamin D, exceeding the NRV for zinc is not recommended. An excess of zinc can even disrupt the status of other minerals, such as copper.

  • Zinc in bisglycinate form is well tolerated and doesn't typically cause digestive issues. It is important to respect the recommended doses, as high doses of zinc can cause nausea.

  • Our Zinc can be combined with our following formulas: Vitamin D, Spirulina, Probiotics and Prebiotics, Vitamin C, or the Propolis Spray. Since our Multi already contains 100% of the recommended zinc intake, it is not necessary to combine it. However, there is no safety contraindication to combining 1 capsule of Zinc with 1 capsule of Multi.

  • You can of course buy Zinc Bisglycinate at the best price directly from our website. You can also buy our zinc supplement for immunity and fertility at pharmacies at the same price (no prescription needed) and in certain specialty stores.
