All about turmeric

Turmeric here, turmeric there.... in a few years, this plant native to India entered the botanical pantheon for its cascade of nutritional and therapeutic benefits.

Antioxidant (1), with anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious properties (2), good for your digestive (3), hepatic and cognitive functions (4), for your joints and your cardiovascular system (5)... If these virtues have been known for 4,000 years by traditional medicine in the Indian Subcontinent, 15,000 scientific studies, including 7,000 on humans and 320 clinical studies, have recently analyzed this rhizome. We are talking here about the star of species of the same genus, including ginger, which has however been the subject of four times less laboratory research. In other words, turmeric makes you dream.

Which turmeric to choose ?

All it took was for many to believe in the magical power of a curry loaded with turmeric, or eggs on the dish turning yellow under the effect of an avalanche of "turmeric saffron". However, the case is a little more complicated: because in turmeric, there is "curcumin". However, the body almost does not absorb this molecule! Would we have been lied to? Let us say that for some manufacturers of more or less aromatic beverages and powders of perlimpinpin, the shortcut was tempting: certainly, their products, preferably organic and concentrated from 5 to 95%, have a generally positive effect on digestion, which is facilitated. But to enjoy the cardiovascular, hepatic, cognitive, joint, joint and antioxidant benefits of curcumin, your turmeric will need to be combined with a "vehicle" that is useful for passing through the intestinal barrier.

Problem : not all these "vehicles" have the same efficiency, and some, such as Novasol® (6) or Théracurmin® (7), contain controversial additives. While BCM-95® and its 70% curcumin multiply by 7 its assimilation capacity (8), CurQfen®, newly arrived on the market, is an exception: with a high assimilation capacity of 45 (9), it is also the only "vehicle" certified organic in France.

Finally, perfectionists who are keen to obtain a more powerful effect will associate curcumin with polysaccharides, or tumerones, the other active ingredients of Curcuma longa. By the way, you can dispel the myth of pepper mixed with turmeric: in 2013 an independent study broke the assimilative potential of piperine (10)... worse: this mix would present a risk of developing autoimmune diseases (11). In the danger section, let us also mention these turmeric retailers who are quick to cut their product with other substances. To protect yourself from these frauds, demand tests !

First Highly absorbent and organic Curcumin

In view of all these elements, Nutri&Co has worked hard to offer you a capsule formula that makes the most of turmeric: high absorption thanks to CurQfen®bio, coupling curcumin and turmerosaccharides (two active ingredients in the plant that increase its effects tenfold), and extracting our patented molecules using water and ethanol to avoid any risk associated with chemical and petrochemical solvent residues. All this being, as always at Nutri&Co, manufactured and analysed in France.
